Description
The Grit Tennis Performance Program is a 12-week tennis performance training program built for players who want to dominate physically on the court — faster to the ball, more explosive off the split step, and stronger through every swing.
Tennis rewards athletes. The players who move best, react fastest, and stay strong through a long match have a massive edge over players who rely on technique alone. This program closes that gap.
How the Program Works
The program runs 4 days per week across 3 progressive phases, with a deload week every four weeks to keep you recovering and adapting.
Phase 1 builds your athletic foundation through foundational plyometrics, speed mechanics, and movement quality work specific to tennis. You’ll develop the base that makes explosive movement possible without breaking down.
Phase 2 shifts to strength and power — heavier compound lifts, reactive drills, and progressive plyometric work. This is where you build the physical strength that translates to more powerful groundstrokes and better court coverage.
Phase 3 peaks with high-intensity agility, sport-specific acceleration, and power training that mirrors the demands of match play. By the end of Phase 3 you’ll be moving better than you ever have on court.
Who This Tennis Performance Training Program Is For
This program is built for tennis players ages 13 and up who want to develop a real physical edge. Whether you’re a baseline grinder who needs to outlast opponents, a serve-and-volley player who needs explosive first-step quickness, or a junior player building an athletic foundation, this tennis performance training program is built around what the game demands from your body.
What You’ll Need
A set of dumbbells, resistance bands, and access to a court or open space for footwork and agility work covers everything in this program. Sessions run 45–60 minutes and are designed to fit around your practice and match schedule.
